Meet the Youth Ventures Interns!

Updated: Jul 22

Sowing seeds of peace in the hearts of young adults

Nation to Nation’s Youth Ventures Internship began June 1 for 7 high school graduates who have completed our Youth Vision Livelihood Training Program. Like many Myanmar youth, these young people face barriers restricting their access to jobs and further education due to challenges getting study visas and work permits during the current crisis.

Crisis puts young adults' future dreams on hold

The April 2024 enforcement of Myanmar's conscription law means many ages 18-35 must join the Myanmar military. This causes widespread fear and unrest. Since then, 1000s of IDPs (internally displaced persons) have fled to border region camps or come as refugees to Thailand. Many youth leave families behind, hoping to find a safe place and education during a time when their dreams of education seem on hold indefinitely.

Youth Ventures Internship bridges the gap to a hope-filled future

The 1 year Youth Ventures Internship trains and equip youth in transition in the four key ways highlighted above.
