True leadership inspires new leadership.
Our staff and Youth Ventures interns lead schoolchildren in song. So joyful, even the schoolteachers couldn’t help but join in!
At Nation to Nation, we understand how vital it is for projects to be replicable to achieve sustainable long-term impact. The key, of course, is leadership. Not just the leadership of those ‘in charge’, but the leadership qualities that are developed and nurtured in each and every staff member, right from the moment they join us on the journey.
Our innovative Learn-Live-Lead-Launch training model is geared towards unlocking the leadership potential in every individual, equipping them not only to sustain but to develop initiatives for long-term national impact. Let’s peek into the life of our hope-filled and hope-fuelled HUB leaders.
Learn
Our Youth Vision Program plants the seeds of leadership in refugee youth. Through learning life skills such as entrepreneurship, financial management and English language, these young people begin to develop self-efficacy, building confidence in themselves and their futures. Our Youth Ventures Internship builds on this by giving a select group of young people hands on experience in the charitable sector. Giving them professional responsibilities, as well as a living allowance to manage their daily expenses, we prepare them for a future of sustainable impact and community development.
Live
Living what they learn and applying it to their new roles as developing leaders, is critical. Many youth that we support have lived in boarding homes, far from their families, having fled their villages. Our internship program gives them the opportunity to live in HUB apartments, to develop daily livelihood independence and work together in teams, putting every training into practice and building life-long friendships.
Lead
Leadership is at the core of our training programmes. We desire for our staff and interns to become leaders in their own right, developing expertise in key areas that match their skill set and inspire them. All of our staff and interns are given positions of responsibility within LIFEHUB operations, such as teaching children, leading soy milk production or managing the books.
Launch
The ultimate goal of our training is to launch our staff into long-term leadership roles, such as taking team lead roles in the HUB, or replicating the LIFEHUB model in other communities. Using the HUB as a leadership launchpad, we can have exponential impact throughout the border region.
Help us fill the future with hope-filled, hope-fueled leaders.
