Give a LIFEPAC, give a smile
This festive season we have been busy delivering #ChristmasJoy along the border. A key part of this is gifting our LIFEPAC backpacks & hygiene kits to Burmese students in migrant schools. Their faces light up with smiles as they open them up and unpack the joy inside.
Many of these students are from communities who have fled over the border and settled in temporary structures on farmland in an attempt to find work. They live under the constant threat of eviction and most of them don’t make it past grade 7, leaving school to work on the farms. Our LIFEPACs, and other in-school interventions, encourage students to keep returning to school each new academic year by giving them the supplies they need.
A LIFEPAC is loaded with school supplies along with a gospel story and activity book, a snack and a toy or solar light. We supplement these with hygiene kits which we refill bi-monthly to help students stay healthy and clean. These contain a towel, a cup, HUB-made soap & shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste and laundry soap.
Over the past 2 years, we’ve given 2000 LIFEPACs to vulnerable students. In 2025, due to a huge influx of refugees in our border region, we need LIFEPACs and bi-monthly hygiene kits for 1500 students. That’s 1500 LIFEPACs for 1500 smiles. Give a LIFEPAC, give a smile.
1 LIFEPAC $40
3 months of hygiene kit refills $65
= $105 per student
